Hello my babytiful friends!

Hope you are keeping fine and are having a great month so far! Halloween is fast approaching! J I love this time of the year, lovely warm colors to wear, spicy lattes everywhere and scary Halloween decoration in the shops and homes, I just love that!! I’ve made new products inspired by autumn, get it checked here.

During the first year of Alma, I attended so many parents groups and did a lot of activities with her that I want to share what I was doing with her, in case some of you get ideas or want to attend/do some of them! I'm based in Dublin so I will give you some names of places to go, but if you don’t live in Dublin you can get ideas and look for them in your area!

Baby massage:

Baby massage is a lovely way to soothe, calm and enjoy time with your baby. You will have quality time with your baby and meet other mums, so it’s great to start your networking! You will learn the appropriate strokes to massage your baby and help him to relief constipation and colic, and relax the baby. If you have a health insurance, please check with them if you can claim it back ;-)

This is the place I attended:

Yogalates:

This class is great to do some mix of yoga and pilates for yourself, and also do some exercises with the babies. It’s so much fun and also it’s a great activity to do for you and your baby, and meet some other mums and make friends!

Parents groups and Breastfeeding groups:

In Dublin you can go to so many parents and breastfeeding groups!! So check on google or with your public nurse the one in your area. They are so helpful and it’s a great way to meet other mums and ask the nurses any query you have.

Early Learning Initiative

The Early Learning Initiative (ELI) at the National College of Ireland is a community-based education initiative working in the Docklands area of Dublin’s inner-city. un a number of Community Support Programme groups for example, storytelling, toddler groups and activity mornings. These groups are run in various settings throughout the North and East Inner City for example schools, health centres, homeless accommodation, libraries and we have even taken some groups outside to local parks.

These programmes have an educational focus each week to guide the parents with ways to simulate their child’s development. The spaces are set out as an active learning environment which is safe, inviting for the child to explore and interact with their parents as well as other children.
